A few years ago I lost my wedding ring. With my weight gain after having kids, my fingers became too fat for my rings... so I frequently took them off when they felt too tight (didn't want to have to get them cut off). When I felt they would fit again I searched and found my engagement ring but couldn't find the wedding ring... I looked everywhere. I was sure it got thrown out and I would never see it again.
Well, the other day for the kid's 100 day of school celebration I decided to make a button shirt for Violet using 100 buttons from my little button collection. We dumped out the buttons and there was my ring!
NOT an interesting post, but I wanted to remember that I did find it. Haha.

Mushrooms!
My sweet sister, Kileen, for my birthday gave me a grow your own mushroom kit! Knowing my love of mushrooms and growing my food... it was quite the thoughtful gift. It was very easy and so far very tasty~

Valentine's Day Tea
Had a lovely weekend including a special Valentine's Tea hosted by my sweet friend, Lisa. She invited both me and my sister Kileen... we share a love of these simple pleasures of life. Good company, flowing conversation (where we don't get everything said even in the space of four hours), delicious food, precious detailed decor, delightful Jane Austen music filling in the background. Lisa has quite an eye for details, this is for sure. Though sometimes I steal her lovely ideas, I hope she doesn't stop filling me in on the treasures she finds, and has quite an eye for.
