I try to clean up the house. Violet says 'mommy, mommy, up, up' Liam says 'let me do it, I wanna help'...but not really, because then it's 'I'm too tired to do that'.
So I stop to play with them. Violet takes what I try to play with her. Liam says 'no, I want to play with that'...pick up something else...repeat.
SO then I grab a pen and paper to make a list of things I need to get done when they are asleep tonight. Violet sits on my lap and takes the pen saying 'dank do' and starts drawing. Liam says 'I want a pen and piece of paper'.
THEN I give up. I just sit there. Doing nothing, but the occasional policing. That seems to satisfy them the most. What I do for my children.
