this is a typical conversation with David, he says something random and you have to work backwards to get what he is talking about.
Finally after much questioning I learned he was talking about little decal stickers. You put them on the rear window of car/truck to show how many people are in your family. He was thinking about how they usually have footprints or paw prints and this was the first time he saw turtles to represent the people.
It would probably be funny to show the whole conversation so you can see how backwards you have to work to get the answer you are looking for.
