FWP = first world problems

Violet: Mom, I'm hungry
(BTW this is one hour after eating breakfast)
Me: Well I have some delicious carrots you can eat
Violet: (whiney tone) but I don't like carrots!
Me: Then I guess you're not really hungry.
Violet: Wahhhhhh!!! (runs off crying, slams her bedroom door).

This reminds me when I was a kid. I would say to my mom "I'm hungry and there's nothing to eat!" and she would say "Nothing to eat?! We have oatmeal, eggs,... bread. We have plenty to eat!"

BTW... Violet eventually went to Daddy to tell him she is hungry and of course he got her a snack she wanted to eat.
